Email is the primary mode of communication for all guests. However, if you’re a guest from the US and have supplied your phone number in the E.164 format, you’ll receive a text message in addition to the standard email. For guests from other countries who have provided their phone number in the E.164 format, a WhatsApp message will be sent along with the default email. (Note: If you’re using WhatsApp, your phone number is likely in the E.164 format.) If you wish to opt out of receiving text messages and/or WhatsApp messages, simply avoid providing your phone number in the E.164 format, which includes the “+” sign.
